TENSORCOMM ANNOUNCES INTERFERENCE ANALYSIS FOR WIRELESS NETWORKS

Denver, Colo. - September 13, 2006 - TensorComm, Inc. (www.tensorcomm.com), a wireless technology company and pioneer in interference cancellation, announced today its Interference Cancellation Analysis Tool (ICAT), an innovative platform for analyzing interference on wireless networks. The company developed ICAT to identify interference in wireless networks and to quantify the performance gains of interference-canceling receivers. TensorComm collected data from many commercial networks around the world and has demonstrated that a high level of structured interference exists on CDMA and WCDMA networks. These analyses help wireless operators to diagnose their network conditions and assess the financial and service benefits of interference cancellation.

It is well known that interference reduces cell phone coverage areas, network capacity and data rates available to the consumer. TensorComm's ICAT detects the sources of interference on the network, identifies the power of voice and data traffic channels for each source and estimates channel conditions, which in turn enables TensorComm to demonstrate ICT's ability to cancel interference and improve signal quality.

Recent analyses indicate that the most probable condition, occurring in more than half of all calls, consists of interference that ICT can identify and cancel over 90% of the time. In these conditions, ICT-enabled devices increase data throughput by up to 60%.

In addition, TensorComm announced the launch of its program to work cooperatively with wireless operators in analyzing and enhancing existing networks to improve service levels and spectral efficiency for end-users.

In a recent MIT Technology Review article, "Clearer Signals for Faster Phone Downloads", Sergio Verdú, professor of electrical engineering at Princeton University said, "CDMA signals interfere with each other because they are transmitted at the same time and at the same frequency." The article highlights the challenges posed by interference in networks based on code-division multiple access techniques to overcome interference produced as a result of the shared frequency. "It's similar to having a conversation in the midst of a noisy cocktail party," said John Thomas. "Pretty soon you notice that your friend has to speak a little louder as more people join in. Then you end up having to shout at each other in order to communicate. That's exactly what happens on CDMA and WCDMA networks."
