TENSORCOMM, INC. ANNOUNCES NEW CHIEF SCIENTIST

DENVER, August 1, 2004--TensorComm, a wireless technology company that has developed a unique patented Interference Cancellation Technology (ICT™) enabling CDMA and W-CDMA carriers to increase capacity and use their spectrum more efficiently, announced today that it has hired Dr. Louis Scharf as the company's Chief Scientist. Dr. Scharf, a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, will participate in the continued development of ICT™ into other wireless standards, such as WiMaX, for both handsets and base stations.

Bringing over 35 years of research and teaching experience to his position at TensorComm, Dr. Scharf will lead the company's technology team. He has served as Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Statistics at Colorado State University, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder and Chairman of Electrical Engineering at the University of Rhode Island. In addition, Dr. Scharf has held Visiting Professorships at Duke University, University of Wisconsin, Universite de Paris Sud, Ecole Nationale Superiere d'Electricite, and EURECOM (Sophia-Antipolis).

With his interests in subspace methods for adapting space-time transceivers in wireless communication, Dr. Scharf's most recent contributions are to matched and adaptive subspace filtering, adaptive multi-access communication, reduced dimensional filtering, and MIMO signal processing for wireless. He has published an undergraduate introduction to electrical and computer engineering and a graduate text on statistical signal processing. In addition, he received the IEEE Signal Processing Society's Technical Achievement Award for his contributions to the theory and practice of statistical signal processing in 1994 and its Society Award in 2004. Dr. Scharf is also an IEEE Fellow and a recipient of an IEEE Millennium Medal.

Dr. Scharf met Dr. John Thomas, Founder and CEO of TensorComm, during Thomas's research as a Ph.D. student at the University of Colorado at Boulder. "While a student at CU, John had made critical advances in subspace signal processing, and I knew he had patented technologies for interference cancellation in GPS and wireless," Scharf said. "I realized that John had something of real value for interference-limited CDMA communication, and I am very pleased to have an opportunity to join TensorComm and participate in furthering its technology."

TensorComm's ICT™ delivers a cost-effective, easily deployable CDMA and W-CDMA component that fits in a handset, requiring neither form factor changes nor radio frequency (RF) redesign while delivering gains that are ultimately realized at the base station. Providing immediate improvements in network economics, ICT™ gives wireless service providers the flexibility to improve network capacity, coverage and service quality as well as data rates for high-end data users.

Proven in commercial lab and drive tests with a major U.S. carrier, ICT™ is the only technology of its kind capable of canceling interference from all channels in a signal (i.e., pilot, paging, synchronization, voice traffic channels and supplemental data channels). And as a constantly evolving, universally-applicable technology for both handsets and base stations, ICT™ is designed specifically to anticipate future extensions for handset and base station technologies.

"Louis is a true pioneer in his thinking and approach to the issue of interference and cellular networks, and we are thrilled to have him guiding our technology team. The team deeply respects and values his knowledge and can't imagine a better suited leader," remarked Founder and Chief Executive Officer, John Thomas. "With Louis's demonstrated expertise and achievements, we look forward to continuing ICT™'s deployment and further development of our unique technology."

About TensorComm
Founded in 2001, TensorComm, Inc. is a privately-held wireless technology company based in Denver, Colorado. Prior to starting TensorComm, Dr. John Thomas spent eight years developing this breakthrough interference cancellation technology as a co-founder Data Fusion Corporation, a Defense contracting firm that created the intellectual property at the foundation of TensorComm. Since its inception, TensorComm has continued to advance its foundations in research, development and
testing of ICT™.
